Importance of Research

 Hello everyone , greetings of the day!

In today's time people are crazy about innovation and technology , some to learn it and create something for human welfare , some to immediately capitalize on it , and of course some due to their undying passion for science and technology, whatever the reason technology and the science behind it is a crucial parts of our daily life .

But you know what , it was not the same earlier , humankind has managed to get to this level due much effort and specifically one factor i.e through research about the given subject .               Yes it was that important , it's because of which we are able to cover hundreds of kilometres in a short span of time and construct a 100 floors skyscrapers!

Technically the purpose of any research is to enhance society by advancing knowledge through scientific theories , concepts and ideas formulated by many scientists and scholars , and it this which initiates the progress of human civilization at a technological level , a research can be done by an individual or be completed by study of multiple individuals across generations!

Now , speaking just a bit statistically :-

1. In India alone , the number of annual research publications is 148,832!  ,That's quite a large number.

2. The Average annual growth rate of research publications in India is 10.73%.

3. As of 2018, the estimated number of research journals in the whole world is more than 2.52 million!

The reason to tell you about these stats is to give you a rough estimate about how much research is being carried out in the whole world to discover and use new technology for their advantage.

Also research is not limited to science and  technology, it is equally helpful and necessary in sectors like banking, finance , healthcare, tourism , marketing  to name a few. In today's world even students should be encouraged to carry out their own research in the field they like and are passionate about , it not only contributes to their knowledge about builds a strong foundation for them!

Disadvantage of research:

Believe it or not , something as good as a research also has a con which we can adress as Research bias.

It basically States that , the sway over the research can lead to window dressing and researcher to skew the research in a certain direction , meaning that the research no longer remains unbiased and that leads to no complete understanding of the subject.

But don't bother much about it as , generally the researcher is aware enough to mitigate such bias .

So basically research is the driving force of the innovations of the future and to assure you , it was also the driving force for all innovations in the past . Hence as our our civilization proceeds towards greater progress we should aim to do better research and have more knowledge in our subject.
